Collaborators Wanted

Sauveur Belviso : Inverse modeling of terrestrial COS observations
Elliott Campbell : Eddy flux COS measurements in a midwest corn field to follow up on the Billesbach et al. findings.
Wei He : The field experimental data for OCS uptake by soil and plant, and experimental studies on other OCS sources and sinks, e.g. ocean fluxes. Especially the seasonal variations of the fluxes may be very useful.
Philippe Peylin : measure simultaneously COS, CO2  and 18O isotopic content in CO2 at many continental surface stations (atmospheric measurements): to investigate the plant and soil uptake processes.
Bharat Rastogi : soil transport models; constraining ERU
Wu Sun : Lab measurements of leaf uptake parameters: Can we build a database of Vmax's of COS uptake and their dependency on environmental variables for the major plant types? This will be helpful for accurate representation in land models.

Sauveur Belviso : European network of tall towers for OCS measurements
Max Berkelhammer : I would like to be involved in some cross instrument field calibration experiments.
Le Kuai : JPL has been develop a consistent version of GEOS-Chem simulation system of multiple carbon trace gases (CO2, CH4 and OCS). We are looking for collaborate to use our modeling system to better understand the carbon cycle by using three different gases. We also want to make the effect to show OCS is a similar proxy of GPP as solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF).
Georg Wohlfahrt : In order to enhance exchange of knowledge, protocols and methods possibly applying for a EU COST action or ESF workshop might be an idea.
Dan Yakir : GPP estimates at all scales, COS at the physiological scale
Wu Sun : Implementation of ecosystem COS flux components in major land surface/ecosystem models

Students and Postdocs Wanted

Genty:  Contact: bernard.genty@cea.fr
Peylin: Potentially looking for a graduate student to do a PhD in COS modelling with our land surface model ORCHIDEE in order to combine COS and fluorescence constraint to better estimate regional GPP.
Seibt: Looking for a grad student and/or postdoc for ecosystem COS measurements and modeling in the tropics
Yakir: Looking for a grad student or postdoc to study COS processes, from physiology to ecosystem
Campbell: Looking for a postdoc to work on COS measurement and modeling in coastal California
